Our Impact

Girls Who Speak, Grow, and Lead

Tarahi Women is our mentorship initiative for girls aged 11–17. Every Tarahi product sold helps fund it at no cost to the girls who attend.

Tarahi Women

WHY THIS EXISTS

Why We Started Tarahi Women

Many girls in underserved communities grow up without exposure to role models, without spaces to practice their voice, and without a clear picture of what their futures could look like.

It's not a lack of intelligence or ambition. It's a lack of room.

Tarahi Women creates that room. Through structured workshops delivered in government schools and NGO communities, we work with girls aged 11–17 on the foundations that formal education often skips confidence, communication, financial basics, and career clarity.

Not as a one off. As a programme.

WHAT WE DO

What Happens in A Tarahi Women Workshop

Four themes. Each one addressing a real gap.

  • Communication & Self Expression: The ability to speak clearly, be heard, and hold your ground.

Girls practice speaking up in groups, expressing disagreement, and articulating ideas skills that are rarely taught, and make an enormous difference.

  • Confidence & Self Belief: Seeing yourself as someone whose future is worth imagining.

We work on internal narratives the stories girls tell themselves about what is possible for them. This is the hardest work, and the most important.

  • Financial Basics & Decision Making: Understanding money before it is too late to learn.

Practical literacy around income, savings, and basic decision making. Not theory tools they can use now, and carry forward.

  • Career Awareness & Goal Setting: Knowing that more paths exist and that some of them belong to you.

Exposure to different careers, conversations with people who took non linear routes, and the practice of setting goals that are real and personal.

HOW IT'S FUNDED

Built Into Every Sale

Tarahi Women is not funded by donations or grants.

It's funded by commerce a portion of every product sold through Tarahi goes directly toward running these workshops. Which means every plate, bag, and board on our shelves is also a contribution to a girl's session.

You don't have to do anything extra. The impact is already included.

₹0 charged to participants. Every session is funded by what you buy.

WHERE WE WORK

Who We Work With

Tarahi Women is delivered in partnership with:

  • Government schools reaching girls who are already in the system, but need more than the system currently offers.

  • NGO partners working alongside organisations already embedded in communities.

  • Community centres for girls who fall outside formal school structures

We are actively looking to expand. If you run a school, NGO, or community programme and want to bring Tarahi Women workshops to your girls we want to hear from you.
